You are officially part of the ProjectHBCU College Access & Preparation Program, better known as CAPP.

Over the next several months, we are going to walk with you through one of the biggest transitions of your life: preparing for college.

There is a lot that comes with this process. Applications. Essays. FAFSA. Scholarships. Acceptance letters. Financial aid packages. Deadlines. Decisions. And yes, probably a little stress too.

ThaT is WHy CAPP EXist

Throughout the CAPP Learning Hub, you will learn how to navigate the college process, but you will also do the work while you are here. Every lesson is designed to move you one step closer to college.

By the end of CAPP, our goal is for you to have the information, tools, and support you need to get accepted, funded, enrolled, and prepared to arrive on campus.

You do Not NEed to figure all of this out ALone!

Complete Your CAPP Baseline Assessment

Before we start moving forward, we need to know where you're starting.

This CAPP Baseline Assessment asks about your current college plans, applications, financial aid knowledge, scholarships, HBCU interests, goals, and some of the things you may be worried about.

This is not a test. There are no “good” or “bad” starting points. Answer honestly. Your responses will help ProjectHBCU understand how to support you throughout CAPP.

We're also saving some of your answers because you're going to see them again at the end of the program.

What is Projecthbcu?

ProjectHBCU exists to help young people access education, leadership opportunities, and the resources they need to build their futures.

Through college access, youth leadership, civic engagement, mentorship, and exposure to Historically Black Colleges and Universities, we work alongside students as they prepare for what comes next.

What is CAPP?

CAPP is ProjectHBCU's College Access & Preparation Program.

CAPP helps students navigate the college-going process from beginning to end.
